Training

The Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies offers training programmes to undergraduates and postgraduates, which are accessed by way of a competitive examination process in order to guarantee the level of excellence that the School pursues at an institutional level:

    • Honours courses: I and II level university training for meritorious and competent students, which supplement and complete courses at the University of Pisa with training of excellence and an early approach to research. Honours Students of the School are offered free room and board at college facilities, as well as funds for study visits abroad and internships with companies or public institutions. After the completion of the double-degree program and the accomplishment of the educational requirements, Honours students are awarded the Diploma di Licenza equivalent to the II level university master’s diploma.
    • Seasonal School: highly interdisciplinary training paths of excellence, supplementary to university training and focused on the School’s most advanced research topics. They are open to meritorious undergraduate students enrolled in bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and PhD courses in Italian and foreign universities.
    • Master’s Degree Courses: II level courses set up in affiliation with Italian and foreign universities, relating to highly specialised training projects, which strongly focus on interdisciplinary teaching, internationalisation and/or innovation.
    • Master Courses: postgraduate training courses intended to further develop knowledge in innovative sectors of particular strategic relevance to the manufacturing and industrial world, in line with the new requirements of companies and of the labour market.
    • PhD Programmes: thought up for graduates, they focus on areas of research of particular scientific and social relevance.
    • Advanced Education Courses: intended to facilitate entry into the labour market while ensuring further education and lifelong learning, they offer a detailed catalogue in diverse areas such as human rights, conflict management, development cooperation, the environment and waste management, innovation management, medicine, health and the management of health services, social services, further education for lawyers and jurists, statistics and econometrics.
